CHRISTMAS WORK

Hi guys, I´m copying here the work you are going to do for Christmas.  It is going to be on Monday 13th but for this Tuesday I want you to show me the selection of words.

It is going to be a short story about Xmas. You are going to divide the work:
Team No. 1. is going to be in charge of selecting unknown words and make a Glossary (as a vocabulary, with the unknown words and the equivalence).
Team No. 2  is going to be in charge of choosing the pictures or doing the drawing of the story.
Team No. 3. is going to collect the money to buy the paper, masking tape for the work.
Team No. 4. is going to arrange and place the work on the wall.
Team No. 5. is going to make some questions about the story.
Team No. 6. is going to answer those questions.

Here it is the short story, the site is:
http://www.wanttoknow.info/goldwrappingpaper

THE GOLD WRAPPING PAPER - An Inspiring Christmas Story
Once upon a time, a man punished his five-year-old daughter for using up the family’s only roll of expensive gold wrapping paper before Christmas.

Money was tight, so he became even more upset when on Christmas Eve, he saw that the child had used the expensive gold paper to decorate a large shoebox she had put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the next morning the little girl, filled with excitement, brought the gift box to her father and said, "This is for you, Daddy!"

As he opened the box, the father was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, now regretting how he had punished her.

But when he opened the shoebox, he found it was empty and again his anger flared. "Don't you know, young lady,” he said harshly, “when you give someone a present there's supposed to be something inside the package!"

The little girl looked up at him with sad tears rolling from her eyes and whispered: "Daddy, it's not empty. I blew kisses into it until it was all full."

The father was crushed. He fell on his knees and put his arms around his precious little girl. He begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later. It is told that the father kept this little gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. Whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems, he would open the box, take out an imaginary kiss, and remember the love of this beautiful child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us as human beings have been given an invisible golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God.

There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

WELCOME TO THIS NEW SCHOOL YEAR

Hi my dear students, I am Mrs. Marsella Robles and I am glad to be your English teacher.  Welcome to the National Preparatory School No. 1 Gabino Barreda.  I have created this site especially for you, Here, we can communicate and share experiences and you can post your works. I am happy to be your English teacher this year and I hope we can accomplish our goals and learn a lot and also have fun.

In the following site you can visualize the program of the course.  They have adapted it but, anyway, you can have the complete panorama of the course. The site is:
http://www.dgenp.unam.mx/planesdeestudio/96/cuarto/1407.pdf

Also, take note of the following rules.

REGLAMENTO INTERNO DE LA CLASE DE INGLÉS V
Mtra. Marsella Robles Mier y Terán

In this place you are going to post your introduction to the class, it is very important that you write first your last name, and then your first name and don´t forget to check what you write.  I don´t think it is necessary for you to tell you that we don´t allow bad words or bad behaviour because everyone deserves respect in this class.  So, you are going to write your name, age, about your family and last school you were in, likes and dislikes and what do you think about this language, do you like it or not, do you think it is easy for you to learn and how do you learn and how do you like to learn.

Well, that´s for now, welcome again and do your best to learn English and to have fun.
